Tim "Mad Dog" Lavin walked-on the USC Trojans football team in 1988 against the advice of everyone he knew for the exception of his family. He was told he would never play much less earn a scholarship. By his second season he was playing on Saturday's and earned a scholarship. When he finished at USC he had two tryouts in the NFL, a far cry from "you will never see the field."
His experience as a walk-on both shocked and captivated his college experience, so much so that he wanted to share the realities of life as a walk-on not only through his words but, through the words of fellow players and coaches throughout the country.
Stay tuned for this fascinating book set to publish in the August 2012.
